1. Throw Your Scale Away

Weight is just a number on the scale that measures all the contents of your body. Small fluctuations in weight are not an indication of fat loss but could be indicative of water loss. Accurate body fat measurements are the best measure of whether your fitness program is working or not. You could get frustrated if your scale isn’t moving, and you might stop trying but in fact you could be losing fat with no way to accurately measure it.

2. Reclaim Your Metabolism

After the age of 30 we lose muscle and we can’t burn calories as efficiently as we used to. We begin to store fat and eating less makes it worse, until nothing we do can help us. We have to increase our metabolism so that our bodies will respond to our fat loss efforts.

3. Watch Out for the “Good Fats”…. They Are Fattening

The good fats, do offer some health benefits but are often packed in small bites and highly caloric. Because their small, its easy to eat a lot and not realize the calorie density of these foods. Try not to overeat these foods.

4. EAT Water and Lose Fat

The higher the water content, the less calorie dense a food is so you can eat larger quantities of these foods and still stay on track with your fitness goals. Fruits and vegetables have a high water content.
