Intense heat, low humidity, and high winds will make this weekend one of the most dangerous for Bay Area fire fighters.
A Red Flag Warning will kick in at 11:00 p.m. Friday night and last until Saturday 11:00 p.m.
The warning covers most of the North Bay.
A grass fire broke out just last night night off of I-780 around 7:00 p.m. Firefighters rushed out to the scene and prevented homes from going up in flames, but they are still there this morning monitoring for potential hot spots.
You’re being encouraged not to do any activity that could create a spark during this Red Flag Warning weekend.
During this dry, windy conditions even mowing your lawn is a potential fire hazard.
