MAPLE HEIGHTS, OH (WCMH) — A boy near Cleveland, who was just trying to make a little extra money this summer, had the police called on him as he was cutting his neighbor’s grass.
Reginald Fields, 12, has his own business. He calls it Mr. Reggie’s Lawn Cutting Service.
“I’m having fun at the same time I’m cutting,” Fields told WEWS.
Along with several members of his family, Fields gets up with the sun to cut grass for neighbors in his community.
But a few days ago, as he was cutting the grass for Lucille Holt, police showed up.
Holt told WEWS that her neighbors had called the police because they claimed Fields was in their yard and had cut part of their lawn.
Holt posted about the incident on her Facebook page, resulting in a lot of support for Fields and his business.
“People are inboxing me like how can I get in touch with this children, where are they at? I got property I want these kids to cut their grass,” said Holt.
Fields says he hopes to save some money and buy some new equipment with the increase in business.
“Just give me a call. I will be there. On time!”
