Firefighters are making progress on the massive wildfire burning in Yolo and Napa counties.

The fire grew in size but so did containment.

KRON4’s Will Tran is at the command center this morning with the latest numbers.

He says exactly 24 hours ago we were at 82, 700 acres burned.  Now it is at around 86,000 but containment did go up slightly from 25 to 27 percent.

More resources are being added to the firefight. There are 3,400 firefighters, up from 2,600,

This weekend will pose a new challenge for firefighters as record-breaking heat is headed their way.
