A woman has been killed after getting ejected from a car on Deer Valley Road near Brentwood on Thursday night, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened at around 6:19 p.m. just south of Briones Valley Road. The car was traveling north on Deer Valley.
When officers arrived, they found the 54-year-old driver, of Discovery Bay, hit a light pole and was ejected from the car.
She died at the scene.
The identity of the woman has not been released.
No other cars were involved in the crash.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
