Northbound Highway 101 in San Mateo was shut down for nearly nine hours after a big rig overturned Monday night, according to California Highway Patrol.
Around 10:32 p.m., the big rig flipped and caught fire at the exit for eastbound 92.
CHP issued a traffic alert at 10:52 p.m., closing all lanes to traffic.
At one point both east and westbound Highway 92 interchanges were closed.
Northbound 101 to westbound reopened at 11:20 p.m.
The exit to eastbound 92 remained closed until almost 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.
There were no reports of injuries.
