An East Bay business owner is offering a $2,000 reward to find out who stole 48 boxes filled with merchandise from a shipping container parked at their warehouse lot in Union City.

The stolen goods were high-end baby clothes, worth $45,000.

Jeffery Cheng, the owner, tells KRON4 the shipping container was parked on Sunday. The thieves broke through three locks, and it’s unclear if they knew exactly what they made off with.

The pink onesies and cardigans are worth over $43,000. They retail for almost $100,000.

Cheng owns Angel Dear, a high-end line that carries baby clothes.

Thieves broke into a shipping container parked outside his Union City warehouse sometime Sunday night and stole 48 boxes full of merchandise.

Cheng got the call from his operations manager on Monday

The thieves broke into three locks.

“All of 2,500 pieces is all within this collection,” Cheng said.

Cheng even has celebrity clientele like Ayesha Curry, Kim Kardashian, and Victoria and David Beckham.

The clothes are sold at department stores and specialty boutiques.

“If people spot these, it is most likely they took (them) because obviously, we haven’t even shipped any of these yet. These are the designs. It’s so obvious. If you see that, it’s from us.”

He’s worried the clothes might end up for sale on the street or flea markets for a fraction of the price.
