TAMPA BAY, Fla. (WFLA) – A new trend has farmers across the country scratching their heads.

The questionable fad is called “cow cuddling” and its name is a fairly good description.

Basically, people are paying to pet cows, brush them and love on them.

The new way to supposedly improve overall wellness isn’t cheap either.

People in New York City are now paying $300 to spend 90 minutes cuddling, brushing and playing with cows.

Several farms across the United States offer the service which some say can help with relaxation and healing.

Even Florida state Sen. Denise Grimsley said she thinks cow cuddling could help save Florida agriculture.

At a luncheon in Polk County earlier this month, she said this kind of Agritourism could help bring prosperity back to small farms and rural communities in the Tampa Bay area.

But would you pay $300 to snuggle up with a cow?
