Crews are gaining ground on the Steel Fire in Napa County, but evacuations remain in place for several residents.
Right now this fire is 75-percent contained.
However, CalFire is giving an update soon and that number is expected to be higher.
Some, but not all, evacuation orders have been lifted.
Evacuations are in place in the following road closure areas:
- Steele Canyon Road
- Capell Valley Road
All other evacuations have been lifted.
The fire started Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and has burned 150 acres off Arroyo Grande Dr. and Steele Canyon Rd.
As of 2:00 p.m. Sunday, all roads in the Berryessa Highlands community were reopened. Headlands Dr. remains closed at West Ridge Dr. South, including Woodhaven Ct.
The fire has burned 150 acres, destroying eight homes and damaging four more.
Firefighters tell KRON4 the biggest challenge with this fire is the steep terrain.
