A gun belonging to a San Francisco Sheriff’s deputy was stolen from a vehicle outside his Fairfield home last week, according to the sheriff’s office.
The gun was stolen last Thursday from the deputy’s personal vehicle, officials said.
The deputy is now assigned to a position where he will not be using a firearm.
Authorities did not release any further details on the incident.
