We now know the identity of the man shot and killed on the Bay Bridge.

He is 31-year-old Darryl Stinnette from Mesquite, Texas.

The shooting happened at around 2:35 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80, just west of the Treasure Island exit. 

KRON4’s Lydia Pantazes is in San Francisco this morning reporting.

She says Stinnette was killed in the shooting and two others inside the SUV he was driving were injured.

The passengers were taken to San Francisco General Hospital. One person was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon. The second person remains in the hospital in fair condition.

Investigators haven’t released a motive for the shooting.

No arrests have been made as the gunman is still on the loose.
