MERCED COUNTY, California (KSEE) — K9 officer Beny did it again!
On August 28, a California Highway Patrol Officer conducted a traffic stop on a 2013 Jeep Patriot for speeding. The officer pulled the driver over on the westbound SR-152 at Dinosaur Point.
The officer observed indications that the driver was engaging in criminal activities, so K9 officer Beny was called in.
During a search of the vehicle, Beny found approximately 30 pounds of crystal methamphetamine inside what officers say was a sophisticated roof compartment.
The driver was taken into custody and booked into the Merced County Sheriff’s Office Jail for possession of methamphetamine for sale, and transportation of methamphetamine.
