A 2-year-old boy died after getting ejected from a car seat on Interstate 80 on Sunday night in Vallejo, and the dad has been arrested for DUI, according to the California Highway Patrol on Tuesday.

Officers responded to the area of I-80 and Highway 37 on Sunday night. The car had rolled over multiple times.

The toddler was ejected because he wasn’t tied down in the car seat, the CHP said.

The toddler died at the scene.

The father has been arrested for alleged DUI, the CHP said.

The boy killed has been identified by the family as Jerome Lee Jacinto.

No other information has been made available by the CHP.
