WASHINGTON (CNN) – Police have made an arrest in the death of a woman killed in Washington this week.
Wendy Martinez, 35, was stabbed to death while she was jogging near her apartment.
On Thursday, Anthony Marquell Crawford, 23, was taken into custody in connection with the killing.
Police say they were able to make the arrest due to the detailed descriptions of the suspect by bystanders.
Crawford was charged with first-degree murder while armed.
Investigators have not determined a motive for the apparently unprovoked killing.
Martinez was recently engaged to be married.
