A man was shot and seriously hurt in Berkeley on Friday afternoon, police said.
The shooting happened on the 2900 block of Sacramento Street at around 2:12 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40s shot.
Firefighters rushed the victim to the hospital, where he is recovering from serious injuries.
Additional officers will patrol the South Berkeley area.
