A high school in Fremont faced some unique challenges in the past few days after an accident impacted the school, forcing a power outage for days.
Irvington High School tonight had no bells ringing or lights in the classroom because of a power outage.
A few days ago, a car accident knocked out electricity for the school.
Students were sitting in the dark.
There were no electronic devices, just old-fashioned chalkboards and writing assignments–that is if you could see well enough to write on paper.
Getting it fixed is a priority, according to the superintendent. The school hopes for power to be restored by Monday.
All of this is not affecting football because the big games are all played at a sports complex in town.
And that complex has full power.
