The U.S. Attorney for Boston had some chilling words while showing the 10 kilos of fentanyl seized in an early-morning drug sweep in-and-around Lawrence, Massachusetts.
“The amount of fentanyl we have seized today could kill half the state,” Andrew Lelling said.
Federal agents say taking this much fentanyl off the streets is a step in the right direction in light of the opioid crisis gripping the country right now.
Dubbed “Operation Law and Order,” 150 federal, state, and local police fanned out, arresting more than four dozen dealers and drug runners.
