The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office received an apology letter after a child accidentally called 911.
The child was playing with a phone when he accidentally called 911, according to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
The deputies responded to the 911 hang up much to the surprise of the child’s parents.
The parents used the accident as a learning opportunity for the child and helped him write an apology letter to the deputies, according to the release.
The letter reads: “I am so sorry for calling 911. I did not know my old phone really worked. Thank you so much for all you do to keep us safe.”
