A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in Marin County for threatening to shoot students at Novato High School.
Novato police say the teen sent threatening messages to other students where he also commented on their sexual orientation.
Even though the teen and his parents deny he had any intention of hurting other students, he was still booked into juvenile hall on suspicion of criminal threats and committing a hate crime.
Police officers were on campus for added security.
