John Ferrannini became a digital producer with KRON4 in 2022. He lives in San Francisco and always wanted to be a reporter, earning his B.A. in journalism and mass communication from California State University, Sacramento in 2018.
Previously, John was an assistant news editor at the Bay Area Reporter, the newspaper of record for the Bay Area’s LGBTQ community, where he covered the Board of Supervisors, criminal justice, cultural districts, street fairs and nonprofits. His byline has also appeared in the Potrero View, J. The Jewish News of Northern California, the Washington Blade, Out in Jersey, and the Philadelphia Gay News.
Before living in San Francisco, John was editor-in-chief at his college student-run newspapers The State Hornet (CSU Sacramento) and The Current (American River College).
