Thousands of people are expected to travel through SFO today as they scramble to get where they need to be before Christmas early next week.
A spokesperson for SFO, Doug Yakel says the Friday before Christmas is one the busiest days of the holiday travel period— on par with the Friday before Thanksgiving.
Airport officials anticipate about 180,000 people will be flying in and out of SFO on Friday.
