Throughout the holidays one place you’ll catch Santa and Mrs.Claus is in shopping centers.

One Northwest Arkansas mall was in jeopardy of not having a little piece of the North Pole, but a local teenager took matters into her own hands

“I love doing it, I love seeing how happy most kids get, some of them cry but that’s ok it’s normal,” said North Pole Organizer, Bailey Turner.

During any given Saturday at The Frisco Station Mall in Rogers you would see the hustle and bustle of shoppers, but during the holidays you may run into one of Santa’s special elves who is doing her part to give back during the Christmas season.

“The new owners didn’t want to do anything Christmassy so we took charge of it and started decorating and did Santa last year and we liked it so much that we did it this year too,” said Turner.

Dressed up in candy cane stripe tights and a dress fit for the North Pole, high school student Bailey Turner spends the Christmas season volunteering to take family’s pictures with Santa.

“It just feels good to give during Christmas. These are pictures that they’re going to have for years and the kids are going to grow up and see them and be like “that’s me” and I took it,” said Turner.

Not only is Turner volunteering her time. All of the money she raises is given to the HomeInstead Senior Care Center.

“Nobody thinks about the seniors for Christmas so it’s a really good cause. I’ve gotten so many more donations than what they buy here and that’s magnificent I love that,” said Turner.

While many children come to tell Santa their favorite toys, Turner watches the Christmas season come to life. 

“It’s very heartwarming cause it just it’s just all special and I love giving and it’s perfect for giving,” said Turner.
