FREMONT (KRON) — A Fairfield man was killed after being hit by a car early Friday morning while walking on I-880, south of the S. Fremont Boulevard exit.
The California Highway Patrol says all lanes of I-880 NB between Mission Boulevard and Fremont Blvd S. were closed around 3:30 a.m. this morning for an hour and a half while investigators were on scene.
Authorities said all lanes were reopened as of 6:50 a.m.
The CHP identified the victim as 28-year-old Alejandro Diaz.
